Managing brand perception during growth or change
Launch library · evergreen read

As an organisation grows or changes significantly over time, audience perception of its brand does not automatically update at the same pace as the underlying reality on the ground. A company that has genuinely transformed can still be perceived through an outdated lens simply because nobody has deliberately worked to shift that lingering perception among its existing audience.
Managing this genuine gap requires proactive communication about what has actually changed within the organisation, supported by visible, concrete evidence rather than assertion alone, since audiences tend to trust demonstrated change far more readily than a simple claim that things are now genuinely different from before.
Patience matters here just as much as message discipline does. Perception built up over many years rarely shifts within a single campaign cycle, and organisations that expect an immediate reset often mistake a lack of instant recognition for a failed effort, when in reality the underlying shift is simply still quietly underway.
