Testing campaign concepts before full production
Launch library · evergreen read

Committing to full production before testing a concept is one of the more expensive mistakes a campaign can make. Even a rough version of an idea, shown to a small group who genuinely represent the intended audience, can reveal whether the core idea actually lands before real budget is spent bringing it fully to life across every planned channel and format.
Testing does not need to be elaborate to be useful. A handful of honest conversations about a concept, a mocked up headline, or an early cut of a script can surface confusion or indifference that a room full of people already close to the brief will often miss entirely, simply because they already understand the intention behind the work.
The point of testing is not to seek permission or validation, it is to catch problems while they remain cheap to fix. A concept that survives honest scrutiny before production tends to arrive at launch considerably stronger, and a team that skips this step is usually just delaying the same hard questions until they cost far more time and money to answer properly.
