Influencer partnerships work best when they are planned as one element of a broader campaign rather than treated as a separate workstream running alongside it with its own timeline. An influencer's content should reinforce the same core message the campaign is building everywhere else, even as it is expressed in that particular person's own distinctive voice.

Choosing the right partner matters more than choosing the largest audience available at any given price point. An influencer whose existing content and community genuinely align with the campaign's subject matter will usually produce a more credible result than one selected purely for reach, however impressive that reach might look on paper during negotiation.

Clear briefing protects both the campaign and the partnership itself over its full duration. Influencers generally know their own audience better than an outside brand ever could, so the most effective briefs set out the message and the boundaries clearly while still leaving genuine room for the influencer's own voice and format to do the actual persuading.
